I'd have to say the worst railroad to work for is CN.I say that because I've talked to plenty of CN crews and they didn't really have anything good to say.UP would be next in line, and I also talked to crews.

The best railroad to work for is IC&E.I've talked to ICE crew and they have good things to say, probably because they're home every night and have less hours of work than a regular Class 1 Railroad.Next in line would be BNSF.

I've never worked for the railroad but I have heard from people who have that UP has the worst engineer training program compared to the other railroads. I have heard that BNSF and NS have the best. I'm not saying this just cause I like BNSF.
I voted for UP

I heard that NS is a crappy RR to work for, but then again the only crews I talk to are NS ones, and the grass is always greener on the other side I suppose.

Ha ha ha ha! My workplace filter filtered out this site for "Advocacy Group". I will have to go home tomorrow to see who they are advocating for.

I got an Advocacy Group filter block for a site that hated Comic Sans font!!! I love how other people think they know better than you and try and limit what you can view over the net...

Having never worked for a railroad (yet) I wouldn't know from first hand experience, but I from friends and other aquaintenaces, the VSRR was a pretty horrible railroad to work for. Have gone on many rides with the above, I have seen a bit of it first hand.

I've heard bad things about NS too, but it depended on the district/location the person was working out of.

Ive hear a lot of Amtrak, CN, CP, BNSF, UP and former BN and ATSF crews all saying UP is the worst. Remember, cant spell stupid w/o UP. BNSF seems to get good reviews from crews, and BN really good.

But there is a CSX sucks website, so that automatically makes it the worst
