This can't be right...
I've never seen a rejection like this before, and I see nothing wrong with any of the information I put in. If they didn't want to publish it at least say Poor Aesthetic Quality or something dumb like that.

Im sure they pressed the wrong button.

It's fine for them to do so, I welcome it in fact, but what I do have a problem with is that the practitioners of the more "arty" shots, I have found, tend to look down their nose's at others who are shooting more "mundane" shots.
Railroad photography is what you make of it, but one way is not "better" than another, IMHO. Unless you have a pole right thought the nose of the engine! -SG

I accidentally put 2011. Considering how some of the pictures have wrong dates and engine models I'm surprised they cared so much about that..

The more important issue is the unlevel horizon. Needs come CW rotation.

One other potential info problem: Periodically they get picky (with Welchie) about train #'s having the railroad in front. So, instead of S CHCSSE, they would rather BNSF S CHCSSE. But, I see it is on, now.

But they dont get other people for bad info when its clearly obvious. Just a dumb rejection reason. Just send a note to the photog telling him to change it or something.

Still unlevel. But that seems to be the trend lately with accepted shots.

I've gotten this rejection once before. It depends on how picky they are.
The good news is it's possibly the easiest rejection to fix.

It is soft too, perhaps you might want to bump that up a little too.

I think it's clear that you want the screeners to be consistent. If they miss one Bad Info submission, then they must let all of the others in, too. Right?

Of course, it makes absolutely no sense at all why they're suddenly so worried about train symbols when folks still can't figure out what the correct reportig marks are for the Southern --

Reporting marks are much more important to most railfans than are train symbols. Also, I almost never know a train symbol, so I leave that part blank. But someone who does knowthem fills it in, gets it "wrong" and gets his shot rejected for it. Where if they just didn't fill it in, there'd be no problem. Logically, it does make no sense.

So send in a correction form for them Joe! Take the first step in ridding the RP world of bad info.

Joe has already done so! He has posted thumbnails to the forum, ensuring that shots with erroneous information get more and more views. Way to go, Joe!

Great. Now go through the rest of Joe V.'s photos and fix all of the Southen shots. Then go to Ron Flannary's Southern shots and get those. Then hop on the CSX (no T) errors. Should only take you a few months!

A little off topic but still in regards to info, there is both a BNSF Railway and a Burlington Northern Santa Fe selection in the railroads box. I know it is technically BNSF Railway, but I didn't even know that was an option until a couple of weeks ago. Is there really a reason to have two listings for the same railroad?
