Default Bad Cropping

Hey everyone, just looking for your two cents on this photo and how to crop it better. I'm thinking in some on all sides, eliminating some sky, some of the foreground spurs and ballast, as well as tighter in on the grain complex behind the train.

Thank you, your input is much appreciated!

I like this one a lot and I think it should make the database (with some changes of course). If you could, I'd shift the crop a little to the right (show more of the right side of the frame and get rid of some of the left side). Also, some of the sky at the top can certainly go. The photo also looks dark--at least on my monitor--so you may want to consider lightening it up a little.

I'd only take some of the bottom to bring the train down to about the third level and increase contrast a tad. Maybe remove a tad off the left.

Tighter on three sides, I don't think you can spare anything on the right. Also, RP accepts 3:2 format, it is quite common, so you can take your 1000x750 file and crop top and bottom and get 1000x667, before you even touch the left side.

Crop the truck out at left and a bunch at the bottom and you should be good to go. I agree with Chris Z. about increasing contrast to brighten the photo as it is a little dark.
