Default Can I make these look good?

I know the first one's sky is ridiculously blown out and the 2nd one's not the best ever, but I thought with the B&W and something I don't think I've seen pictures of on here, I could slide them through. Opinions?

There is no depth in the color most importantly. Those will not make it on.

This is Latonia, KY----right? The second shot has possibilities. If it were me, I would crop it like this (plus some other "enhancements"----including leveling the image a bit...):

I have been there and dont recall seeing that stuff there. Especially an E8 parked outside. Maybe they have another yard somewhere else?

There can be depth in the blacks and whites.

For Example:

As for the PRR 5888 it sure looks like Strausburg.

Correct Mr. Flanary, just outside of downtown Cincinnati.

So, if I understand correctly, these weren't color shots taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum at Strausburg, PA?
