^ Find it hilarious you thought so much of the shot to save a copy of it.

Lots of buffoonery to be had.

I have wanted to comment on a lot of shots over the past year, but alas, I didnt take notes.

So the reflection in the water was not there originally, or it was altered?

Remember snow boy's shot?

The reflection was from one frame earlier.

This is it, as shot. I thought it had run it's course over a year ago. Especially when the forum post went on a few days after I was banned and could not respond.

Troy;

You brought it up again with the "This hits close to home." comment that you made in this thread.

Actually, I brought it up and thanks Troy for making clear what happened.

I never did catch it the first time around and always wondered.

Unless I missed it somewhere else, Troy's comment in this thread was the first comment made about his Amtrak alteration.

Troy, just curious, why didn't you move closer to the edge of the water? By doing that, you could hve gotthe last bit of land out of the frame and the reflection would have matched up.

By the way, glad to have you back. It was really boring around here without you.

To get a little bit of elevation. It's hard to tell, but I am standing up on a berm, the land you see is about 15-20 feet lower than where I was standing.

And thank you.

Just more "thinking aloud" what is and isnt acceptable, and by whom, and so on... not necessarily wanting to re-hash the specific Amtrak thing.

Looks like the reflection was able to keep up with the train this time.

Let me sum up quite a few of the posts in this thread.

"The rest of you are railfans and railfans are idiots... while I take railroad photos, I am not one of you."

Holy crap, Ween. Do you save our poorly thought out posts in the forums too? Is my mistaken understanding of the usage of reporting marks versus other categorization by NS somewhere on your hard drive?

(Much as I just had fun saying that - those snow shots are so ridiculously bad I can't believe they got accepted as real.)

Dang, if a snowflake that size hit you in the head, it could knock you out!

I don't have any posts archived...but that's what the search function in the forums is for!
