Default Unlevel alert! Unlevel alert!

A major, major publication does not follow the commandment of levelness in its advertising!

It may be the beer, or the exhaustion, but I nearly fell out of my chair looking at that photo.

Thanks to RP my material is likely no longer of any interest to Trains...

An Acela Express heads south from the Wilmington, Del., station on Feb. 5, 2012

Cloudy, going away, unlevel - the stuff of legend!

(Janusz, I told you this would make an excellent blog topic!)

Did you leave it unlevel on purpose?

The rest doesn't bother me.

Not my shot. Thanks to you, Loyd and RP, my stuff is too level to get into Trains anymore.

See---I've been trying to tell you guys this "unlevel" business is no big deal. It's just another OCD issue on RP.net.

Also---advertisers can do whatever they want with their own illustrations. The layout guy might have intentionally wanted to tilt the train in that direction for purposes we don't know. At any rate---no big deal.

I don't think you would find anything of this nature in the actual editorial content sections of the magazine.

Perhaps I should start writing "letters to the editor."

I was thinking it was to get the words to fit where they wanted it.

Good point, Derek.

I think I have said this a bunch of times, guess I like to see my written voice again , there is a difference between obviously intentional unlevel and noticeably, sloppy unlevel. The former rarely get submitted to RP, the latter people kvetch about.

Because there is also a bit unlevel but hardly noticeable at and no big deal, and "huh?" where do you see the unlevel? sort of unlevel. The latter categories are what make the ostensibly objective measure of unlevel into a subjective judgement.
