Default Pace shot question, how sharp does it need to be?

Case in point...

This is straight out of the camera, I know it's unlevel and need some processing work. Shutter speed is 1/25. I made some attempts between 1/25 and 1/125. Obviously this is not the easiest thing to do on a fairly busy 2 lane road.

Faster shutter speeds have the subject more sharp, but lack blur.

Also, what is the acceptability of the mirror in the frame. I have some that I was able to get it out.

Why are you asking about something that would no doubt be taken out with a proper crop?

Edit: Nevermind, I thought the attachment was different from the picture in the body of your post. Why and how do you do that? You never answered me in the other thread where I inquired.

I don't know if your shot is sharp enough for this...but this is how I think it should be cropped. Yes...either a pace or a pan (harder) is difficult to pull off. I have respect for all the shots that nail it...or even get reasonably close.

That way you don't have to pull up the image----it's already there for you.

Jim - I thinks I get it. When you attach, only the link shows up. If you copy the the location of the attachment and insert as a "linked image", it will then display in full. The alternative seems to be uploading the photo elsewhere and linking the image to display since it would seem?? that you can not simply present any image direct to RP - only the attachment link. Correct?

But how is it done? I looked at the page source, and it isn't an attachment, and then a link to the same shot, somewhere else. It is an attachment, and a link to somewhere within RP forums? Is there an option somewhere that does this?

So, Mitch, everyone, it has to be done through a convoluted manual process? Attach, post, open post, right click, copy URL string, click on image, paste string? As below?

You can link to the displayed attachment as seen in the preview.

Whew!

That appears to be the case. I had a feeling that's what they were doing, but I wanted to hear the explanation to be sure.

Why not just paste the link only? Are people afraid no one will click on it and the putting the photo in the post will actually get more feedback?

Sorry to hijack your thread, Troy, I was genuinely curious why people were doing this.

Afraid? No, I guess everyone has their reasons, I do it so people dont have to click the link.

The reason why I mentioned the mirror is that some of my other shots, the mirror is more prominent and would be harder to crop out.

If you had, I missed it, and it seems like I wasn't the only one.

As I noted earlier, it's just an instant visual way to display the shot.

Am I actually "afraid no one will click on it"? For crying out loud---are you serious? If five people or 5000 clicked on an image, what difference would it make? They might all be laughing at me, so why would that matter?

Me too. I think the side mirror actually shows in the full frame, but obviously I cropped it out. "Don't try this at home."

Taking a break from hectic work in the stock room at Dollar Tree in Johnstown, where they just got a fresh shipment of childrens' toys covered in lead-based toxic paint imported from China, the "Dribble" boy and expert on middle school locker room humor (probably learned while "horsing around" with some of his Pennsylvania buddies at Second Mile), answered a question:
Martin Suddsberry: Who is Troy?

Daniel Valentine: Some sad RP.net individual from Tampa FL who cannot not take constructive criticism of his work.
"Constructive criticism"? Hardly...

You and Troy are taking the "afraid" part of the sentence too literally.

Attempting to drive anyway. I recently got a front-end alignment on my truck so it tends to track straighter than it did before.

Kind of exciting to have both hands on the camera held out the window and driving with your knee.
