Default Pictures I'd like to see...

...that aren't here.

With SOU 630 trundling all over the southern part of NS, I was hoping to see more pictures. There were a nice bunch from the Atlanta trips, but not too many of the ferry move from Chattanooga to Atlanta.

On the ferry move to Linwood there were a few in the Atlanta area (it was a rainy day), and a few from SC, but nothing from Wells Viaduct or the bridges over Lake Hartwell? Really?

So far there are only a few from this weekend's trips. Too many of these are telephoto images where you really can't see much of the running gear - which is part of the charm of steam, to me, anyway.

Maybe more pictures will show up, but so far I'm disappointed.

Well, theres a reason for that, both the lack of shots and the telemash angles. The Chatt to Atlanta ferry move was supposed to be in sun but the forecast was completely botched, with clouds the whole way. Heres the two shots I posted, I only have two slots so I'll have to post the rest somewhere else.

Most of the shots ended up being mediocre shots off bridges to get the sky out of the shot, was hard to do any real wide angle shots with the dull white sky and the lack of sun.
Heres my video of the trip, which is a bit better than the pictures http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcDfl...1&feature=plcp

After getting burned by bad weather forecasts on both the ferry trip and the Sunday excursions (shouldve just skipped work on Saturday when it was crystal clear...) I was pretty fed up with shooting in the clouds so I didnt go out after the Piedmont trip, should have but oh well. Peter Lewis may have a shot from the Toccoa viaduct, I've seen a shot from the Clemson bridge and unfortunately the sun chose to come out there and the shots were totally backlit.

I'll post the pics from the ferry trip to my own site but don't expect anything spectacular, the weather didn't allow for that...

Nice video. That's a great little steam engine. Sounds nice and big though.

Nice video! Thanks for posting the link.

I rode one of the Sunday trips in Atlanta and got a few pictures from the Pryor St. overpass.

Nice set of shots, I'm surprised to not see myself in one of them. Didnt know you worked for NS at the Atlanta offices.
I got lucky and was able to ride the 1 PM excursion, that was probably the most fun of the whole day, spent the whole trip standing at the vestibule listening to the engine work, if you have a shot a little further ahead then you will probably see me at the vestibule.
