Just out of curiosity, are you against BNSF or something? Because it seems anything you post about BNSF is always negative.

You know, that doesn't really look all that bad. It looks a lot better on the side of a car than it does on a locomotive.

Mike,
Take a good look at the logo. It looks like garbage. Although it looks 10 times better on that car.

Well, I liked BNSF until they made that ugly new logo. It looks like something you'd see on a racecar, not a locomotive.

BTW I found a shot of a well car in the new BNSF scheme, I think it looks pretty cool.

Don't worry, once the graffiti "artists" get done with it, you won't see it anyway.

Cool

OK, maybe it's just me, but that looks totally photoshopped. The letters and wedge are too fat, the words and wedge aren't level, and the angle of the "B" and the wedge do not line up on the left side of the logo. As you can see on the well cars and the locomotives, the real logo is stretched out more.

I think it's just a good photoshop job.

Maybe the same people who painted this

painted the hopper.

The hopper appears to have a curve to it and the well car and locos are flat surfaces. That could be why the letters are not aligned.

Yeah, I found another photo of the same hopper, and it is at a different angle. http://archive.trainpix.com/bnsf/RAI...HOP/481424.HTM
It looks more realistic from this angle, and you can definately tell that the logo is on a bit of a slant.
The logo just looks kinda fake from the angle on RP.

I dont care what car/loco/etc that logo is on, it looks horrible. Shame on BNSF for killing the old Santa Fe logo they had [and thats coming from an hard-core BN fan!]. The old logo looks so much more railroad. The new one seems like something on a plane or car.

OK, i will admit, it kicks a*s on those intermodal cars.

Seems not too many are interested about this, but as a railfan I find it interesting to track "train stuff" around. I didn't want to create a new thread, and the title suits...

A series of 380 and 381 prefix, ACF Centerflow hoppers came through Billings, MT today. First time I've seen the new logo.

Who else has seen these and where?

I found a ton of them back at the end of May parked for several miles on a siding by me. It was of course, just off off the Lemont, Illinois I&M trail. They went around the bend until I couldn't see them anymore. It was most puzzling.

I wish ya'll that hate the new logo would just shut your yappers because you can't do any thing to change BNSF's decision.

As time goes on you will see more and more of this logo. When BNSF has to repaint an ex-ATSF, ex-BN or a faded H1 or H2 painted engine this paint will be applied.Same thing for all freight cars and MoW equipment.

I want to know what they are gonna do to H1 locomotives...Maybe repaint them into H3 and since they won't have a Cigar Band it won't matter that they aren't widecabs....

When the news article came out they said "ALL" engines will be painted into H3.It will take some time to paint all of their engines.BNSF 700-799,960-1123 and 4700-4719 are wide cab engines without H2.BNSF will likely paint these to H3 before engines in H2 since H1 was for standard cabs and warbonnet was for patching ex-ATSF DASH8 and DASH9 engines after testing on new BNSF DASH9s.Since they came out with the new paint scheme I wondered if they would apply it to standard and wide cab engines or keep H1 to standard and H3 to wide cabs.

I guess it will be interesting to see.For now I'll just have to drive the H3 SD40-2 from train-sim.com on Train Simulator.
