Default Submission increase Question

Is there someone I can send a request to have my submission total increased a bit? A year or two ago it got put at 2 and since then I think I have improved in my pictures and understand what I was doing wrong. If anything just looking for it to increase to 5....

Ah, the eternal question. Its been a while since we've down this road, hasn't it?

I maintain my belief that a clear statement from one of the Chrisses would solve this particular mystery once and for all.

one way to increase your daily upload quota would be to support the site monetarily.

Ya, that would be your best bet.

It would be nice if you got over a certain number of accepted photos, you were restored to 10 a day.

Sort of a reward for sticking around and learning how to be better.

I have 5 and I seldom use them all in a 24 hour period.

Further, when I do, it is usually from going round and round on the same picture.

I was under the impression that new people were not given 10 nowadays unless they paid, is that true?

I think they only get 2 slots.

New people have only gotten two for some time now (as far as I know).

I opened an account for a friend who is a Luddite (and who I have to load more pics for). That account has posted nothing but classic LHR and DH shots that I'm sure the site loves, but the upload limit stays at two.

I would think that two is the new ten.

I suspect that most of us who have 10 rarely abuse that limit. I don't think I have ever uploaded 10 in a day....heck, I can't process that fast.

I normally never post more than 1 per day and perhaps 4-5 per week at most.

About the only time the extra slots are useful is when you have something relating to a news event or a special operation, when you know everyone else is racing to upload theirs as well. Charters are a great example. You either have to post 'em quickly or hold 'em until the event is a distant memory. I've found that the RP Audience jumps all over the first few and then rapidly gets tired of seeing of them.

However, I don't believe that the 2 limit applies to "established" photographers.

When my elite membership lapsed, I returned to a 10 limit.

The two image limit is a real turnoff, I'm sure I have a 100 good shots that I could post but that will take half a year, made me give up uploading unless I get bored on occasion. Oh well plenty of other places I can upload as many shots as I want.

And when mine expired it returned to a limit of 2. No big deal, it is what it is, as they say

I'm lucky if I upload one a month

New members get 2 slots? I have 201 on the database and 1 slot. I guess I should delete my account and shots and start fresh, I'd double my upload allotment.

100 shots / 2 shots per day = 50 days.

365 days per year / 50 days = half a year????

Math headache...

Not to mention I'm hardly motivated enough to upload 2 shots every day, I'd rather upload 10 on the day I took them then have to spread them out over a long time.
