Heard on the GF Sub Division, Bemidji MN:

*Donna Wilcox (sp?) is a track inspector.*

DS: "BNSF GF Sub DS to Donna Wilcox over..."
Wilcox: (inaudible)
DS: What MP did you just clear Donna?
Wilcox: (inaudible)
DS: "Where at???"
Wilcox: (inaudible)
DS: "NO, NO DONNA! GET OFF AT THE NEXT GRADE CROSSING YOU CAN! THE LOCAL (L - Cass Lake) IS COMING ON DUTY HERE..."

Obviously from the sounds of it the track needed to be clear and Donna wasn't inspecting the track fast enough...

One I forgot; the northbound UP freight (featuring an engineer with a Chicago accent) was holding at a siding to meet a southbound coal train which had to work at restricted speed for a good 2-3 miles along the way.

"Hey, it's about time you showed up; You were holdin' up the Foamer Special! I got all tree o'dem C and N W engines!"

"Oh yea? Well I had that United Way 3300 last night!"
