Default Is it really THAT bad?

Aside from the cloudy conditions (which it got rejected for; as well as it being a common power shot), is this picture really bad?

for me the left side is a complicated, distracting jumble. Bit of pole, bit of fence, a face, a cap, umbrella, gray cloth with letters on it. Also, a pole growing out of the nose.

I grew up just a few miles away from there! If you live in that area now, I look forward to seeing more shots of the local scene. And welcome back to RP; I see your last upload was back at 135150 (way before my first!) and the database has about 100k more shots now.

Thanks, but the reason why I haven't had a shot on here in awhile is that I think the screeners are somehow biased against me, rejecting even my best shots...

Well now that I look at it the above shot, I can agree with you.

How about these?

First: It's OK. Bad light, of course. Does not appear to be properly leveled. A bit too much nose and not enough side for my tastes.

Second: the pole is doing you no favors, and it's too tight in general, not much space to either side of the PCCs. Also, again not level.

Oh please...

Cameras capture light. If you've got crappy light, you're going to get crappy results.

The shot of the red and cream trolley would get in if the light was good and if you gave it a little more space on the right side.

And yet another reason why I keep coming back here.

I doubt screeners have the time to make a blacklist..

I've noticed that the screeners are biased against me, too, but that they momentarily suspend that bias whenever one of my shots is accepted.

Seriously, though, it's not personal. I have had far more shots rejected than accepted, and I'll be the first to admit that my accepted shots are far from the top tier of photos on this site. Take a browse; you'll see. I have no problem admitting it.

Regarding the photo in question, it's not THAT bad, but there is a good bit of clutter on the side that will ensure that it doesn't get in.

I screened this shot (as well as some of your other trolley shots today), and to be bluntly honest, I haven't a clue who you are, so it'd be pretty difficult for me to be biased.

As others have said, the light when you were at the museum just wasn't good. That's not your fault, but it doesn't make the images look any better, unfortunately.

Just admit it, Chris, someone is paying you to reject his shots!

Haha, like that Seinfeld episode when Elaine is blacklisted from the Chinese restaurant...
