Default Locomotive ID needed

Now this looks like an EMD product but I am not sure. It has that 50's Turbo-liner look to the nose. Can anyone shed some light on this engine?

It appears to be the GMDH-3.

Good catch NorthWest! I might be putting eyes on it next week and maybe I can get a shot of it that RP.net will find acceptable.

How has that not yet made the pages of RP? Or the 'Net outside of Wiki?

They state it's in the US, and was operational in the not so distant past.

Wild find!

Michigan has it all - no wonder Jim Thias loves living there.

Mitch, I do have a photo of that unit in Clinton, but it's not RP-worthy. It's been quite a few years since I shot it, but I think there was a bunch of clutter around it at the time.

Keep your fingers crossed. I have a photo in the queue waiting for a set of screener's eyes to pass judgement.

No good. Got a high sun rejection after getting an unlevel rejection. Don't understand why a killer comes after a correctable rejection. Maybe different screener??

I was in the area at 1300 hrs. Probably won't be back at an "acceptable time" so until someone living close by gets a better shot accepted, this is what I took. Better hurry though, it's rusting away.

Maybe a night time shot would work or a re-submit when this screener is at the gates of RP. Sorry Mitch, I tried.
