Default 2 min exposure + double flash + reflective lettering on diesel =

I think you know where this is going.

Basically a long exposure of an oncoming train, but as it gets close fire the flash so the reflective lettering remains frozen.

at f22, a 540ez and 550ex at full power doesn't do a whole lot. but....i'm afraid to put it at f8 because of overexposure. anyone ever tried something like this?

what i've got...5d classic, 24-105 L, 70-200 f4l, 550ex, 540ez

Be nice if we saw the results. Otherwise, it's like talking about theory.

If a tree farts in the woods, can anyone smell it?

Sorry, it wasn't the tree... it was me!

Exclamation Ya, Right.

Trees don't digest or have digestive tracks, therefore they don't fart.

Next!

This was a 60mph train: http://www.flickr.com/photos/6074027...in/photostream

1/4 of a second, f8.0, ISO 1600 with the built in flash. This is of course under the depot lights. I've never tried it without existing light, which is what I think you're describing. http://www.flickr.com/photos/6074027...in/photostream
