I have an SX30IS and I sometimes get the same thing. Maybe lessen up on the sharpening, if you do any, or wait until you resize to sharpen. It seems at times 1024x768 can get crappy for me as well.

I think with this shot, it might just be a little over sharprned. The shot does seem to be leaning about .5% CCW according to the bridge.

As for the pixelation, when you are sizing the shots down, are you keep the resolution at the highest setting?

Joe, I leave it as it is for resolution, but it is set for best resolution. As for the leaning, what would you suggest I level it off of?

The bridge does not look level to me. Looks to be leaning to the left.

Did you rework the same shot or make a new one, You can see it in the handrail on the left and the rail in front of the GE. Its not the camera.

Use a longer lens or get closer.
