Default Runaway Train

Here is the Story Of The 1987 CN Nepisiguit Sub Runaway Train along with the radio traffic between the dispatcher and engineer.
http://news.gaurc.us/?p=904
Scroll down where it says The Radio Traffic and listen to a amazing drama that last aprox 21 min. It is riveting.

Wow, I couldn't believe he walked away from that, and then he gets rewarded with a 6 month suspension, go figure

I first heard that recording a couple years ago. It's definitely an eerie listen...

Apparently 9548 ended up on Knoxville and Holston River Railroad (Yadlin Valley), Knoxville TN, in 2003 and 9457 was sold to Progress Rail
