I think NS was going for more of an artsy approach than traditional rail photography. If you look, a lot of the photos have objects in the foreground or background in addition to the train. I think it all comes down to taste. Personally, I like some of the photos. A lot of them are different from the norm.

I think the photos that are posted on their page aren't as fuzzy as on the calender. I don't have a calender, I'm just assuming, could somebody please clarify. Something seems like it went wrong in the process of transfering them to the computer.
