ok, this is where I know what I'm doing

Dress in slacks and a button-down shirt, no need to go much fancier, but make sure you have some nice (close toed) shoes on. Especially for a railroad job, "open toes" and "work" just will never go together. The tests were logic / personal history type questions ("when did you stop beating your wife" type questions is what my Mom calls them... there is no right or wrong answer, but it shows your personality and how you would fit in, or not). One of the questions I remember very well was "You know a coworker who has gotten away with stealing company goods" (answers 1 to 5 on a scale of strongly agree to strongly disagree).

We also had english and math tests... five minutes, sixty elementary level questions, and have at it, that was more to test how you work under stress, not meant for you to finish, but the scoring was based upon how many you finished correctly in that time. It took about five days to get the results back, so be patient, and good luck!
