Looks like a heavy hand on the shadows and highlights tool to me.

It might be that but look at the roof of the last cars. I can't figure that out.

"I've been susbscribed..."

I must say it looked so much better printed than on RP. The issue had a Casey's Jones cover, I found it this evening, April 2000.

Do you remember dates of any...

Ron Flanary - Trains sounds a bell to me... didn't you win a contest back in 2000 or something like that, with a picture of a pair of CSX units standing on a bridge?

Right, I understand.
I meant it wasn't rejected here for that reason and nobody told me anything on Flickr where it had a respectable number of views. I wasn't too clear on my response.

Well, I appealed and it was rejected again, so it's over.
I'm fine with it, your opinions matter to me too, it wasn't a waste of time if some people got what I wanted to do.
Thanks everybody!

Ok, I guess I can give it another try.

But take a look at the condition of the track; that, along with the slow shutter speed, caused a lot of shaking. I think it turned out pretty well in...

Thank you, guys.

I'm used to work on a rejection, but I don't know how to cope with this one. It sounds like PEQ to me, it seems the screener didn't like the picture at all.
I wouldn't even know...

I won't add nothing to what have been said: it's a fine shot.
I think is one of those shots that are worth shooting despite the light, even if it doesn't fit RP rules.

Thank you Kyle.
One thing I don't like is the cutted building on the right (a bathroom) but you can't compose a flawless picture on a moving train.

Thanks the both of you for the comments.

Thanks Jon.
I levelled it by the grab iron, and it was shot at 18mm. on a crop sensor, so there could be some distortion. I will rotate it the way both of you suggest.

Same as the others, nice pic.
What I find a little odd is the "flatness" (i don't know if that is even a word..:-)) of the focal distance. Just my taste, but again, good shot.
