It's not a bad image and the clouds aren't bad either. However, a couple of things that bothers me a little is cropping seems a bit "funky". It almost seems like the train is centered (horizontally?)...

Personally, since I have a low-end DSLR (Canon EOS Rebel T3), I will always try to push camera to see what it can do. I've shot trains at ISO 100, 200, 400, and even 800 and not have a noise problem....

UP owns the line. Pretty much, they own all of the ex DRGW trackage. BNSF has trackage rights from Denver pretty much all the way to the Feather River Canyon and I think Donner Pass in California....
