Sharpness: make a copy, add more sharpness, compare. If undesirable artifacts appear, it's too much. When in doubt about any edit, it's good to set it aside for a day or so.

Coverage of a newsworthy event need not be art gallery quality IMO.

Search Hijacking?

Has anyone else noticed a change in Google search results in Firefox? Since a couple of days ago map and image results appear to be from Yahoo rather than Google.

Default search is set to Google...

I think I know exactly who you are referring to. Great scenes, but sometimes inferior image quality. A couple even had visible dust spots. RP management conceded giving him some leeway on standards,...

I've been playing with recently acquired distortion correction for a couple weeks now. Don't you need to level the image before doing distortion correction?

BTW, distortion correction is very cool...

I'm looking at the tall, close-to-the-center smokestack which is clearly leaning LEFT. What are you looking at? :confused:

Oh, and the shorter stack is also leaning left. See for yourself.
