I seem to recall RP had a rule against large, distracting watermarks (except their own, of course!)
Smaller and fewer is better!

2) Appeal, citing the perfectly vertical signal mast.

The tall buildings in the distance of the Flickr photo are not very sharp. Maybe the screener wanted them sharper? Besides that, they all lean left. Could "going away" be another issue?
