Not that I care either way--I just came to this forum to see if there was any talk about the G&W's buyout of...

No nose light!

I stumbled across an ad for Norfolk Southern on CNN.com today. I can't help but wonder what the RP.net screeners might say about this shot. Would it make the cut? ;)

You're probably right--but looking through the day's reject pile might mean people will be less annoyed by the perception that RP is picky for no good reason. "Well, on second thought, those rejects...

I decided to submit this one (which I wasn't extremely fond of, to tell you the truth) after following this thread: http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=521575&key=0

No surprises--it's...

Joe, I tend to agree regarding the word "poor." Granted, going out of your way to preserve a person's feelings is not the best way to critique photos--there ARE some standards that any reasonable...

Speaking of abandonment shots, I was fond of this one, but the screeners were less so:

That's definitely a tough exposure situation; the inside and outside are not within the camera's dynamic range, yet they're in the same scene. The shot is more photojournalism than art, so I'm not...

Oh, certainly, it needed more than I gave it. We were just breezing through in the evening, three hours to go until home, with work in the morning!

Just thought I'd share. It's a cool spot.

Ghost diamonds (poor esthetic quality!)

Of course, I object to the term "poor," but I'm fine with this not being "desired" for inclusion in the database. I think this is an interesting place, so I thought I'd share this image before it...
