Another bad cropping reject

I Got this photo rejected for bad cropping. I don't see it. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Too tight in my mind. I'd like to see more room on all sides of the frame.

too tight on right. do you have the original frame so we can see what you have to work with?

Yup. Thanfully the origial has alot of room. I wasn't sure what to do with this one. Here it is.

You have people! You have people in the frame! Include both people!

the cropping should be easy. just follow the rule of thirds. leave the people in. the hazy light might be more of a problem.

Michael here's my go at it, also worked with levels and shadows/highlights but it's got jaggies so work from original and sharpen.

I think mark has the cropping down. his version looks kind of drab though.
