Contrasting issues

I'm still having issues with contrast with this shot. I thought the colors aren't too bright in this shot. I know that a lot of you have been ignoring my posts b/c I'm not listening. That's not the case; it's just there's a lot to think about with editing shots. I may be doing too much at once at times, but I'm trying.

Thank you for any suggestions.

I see a light haze over the shot along with poor lighting. I say up the contrast or gamma some.

What does gamma mean?
I will admit I have color blindness. I will post an attachment later

travsirocz 08-20-2009 10:07 PM

Increasing gamma will make you blacks blacker.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Again, your problem is you lack contrast. You have a Grey film appearance over the image.

Here is an attempted attachment. I hope I got rid of the grey appearance. I also hope I didn't destroy image quality

Looks good to me!

Thank you. I wonder if I should submit it.

jlev 08-21-2009 03:50 AM

This was rejected b/c of bad contrast again. I wonder if I should darken the blacks a little.

Indeed, I'd continue to darken the blacks some more.

Here is an attempted correction of the 4016 photograph. I tried to darken the blacks more but not too much.

Here is another bad color rejection, and an attempted corrected attachment.

I thought that the blue in the sky is natural blue.
