No need to get off topic, but I suppose it's a relevant comment. I notice that CSX has a rainbow of blues and yellows, yes?

Christopher Muller 11-26-2009 05:05 AM

How far is near considered?

crazytiger 11-26-2009 02:04 PM

BNSF has some Red and Grey choo-choos!

Again, I have to ask forum members to please stay on topic or risk being banned.
UP trains often have EMD units pulling them.

crazytiger 11-26-2009 03:26 PM

That was sooooo on topic. Thread name: "Bnsf Talk." How is that not BNSF talk?

ssw9662 11-26-2009 03:40 PM

The bottom line is that these "[whatever] talk" threads are pretty much pointless and something this forum can do without.

Having said that...

I'd take a pumpkin over a yuppie any day, but why sway from the topic of the thread, huh?

BNSF starts with the letter B.

CSX got Blue engines! Well mostly.

NS has 1,098 GE D9-40CWs, I think GE is doing something right.

crazytiger 11-29-2009 02:23 AM

Well, I now start the worthwhile discussion:

Does anyone have a workable roster. I was putting together a roster book of the Class Is and I couldn't find a good concise BNSF roster. Anyone have one or know of a good one?

That's a great UP roster. So awesome, that I had already made my customized UP roster from it.

From what I've used it for, this roster seems pretty accurate for the most part. Most of the rosters from this site are pretty reliable.

lock4244 12-02-2009 06:50 AM

BNSF 6961-6999 were rebuilt from former CN & GTW SD40's... the roster says SD40-2's. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but incorrect none the less.

It's amazing just how big the UP and BNSF fleets are compared to my hometown roads (CN and CP). Five or six times the size!

The CSX roster isn't so amazing. They are good, but there are many things that could be fixed.

I concur. The first thing that draws my attention is the absence of the ES40DC's/C40-9W's. Although I suppose it's been a while since these rosters were updated.

Not only that, but they don't have the ES44AHs, AH4400CWs, SD50-3s, and some Conrail repaints present. I think that when they do update it, they need to take a closer look...

Although this site may not have acurate information in regards to things like train symbols, or news, they have a great CSX roster! http://www.bullsheet.com/news/csxroster.html

I found another site while searching the internet. All that I know is that this other website has tons of engine rosters! I still am loyal to railpictures.net though!
here is the link:

You have the wrong link there, here is the correct link for those interested

16marvigj 12-08-2009 09:48 PM

Might as well put in a NS roster and I will. What other ones do we need??
