Appealing

How often do you appeal your rejected shots?

I have posted my vote...

Mike B. 05-10-2007 05:55 AM

Never.

(is this enough characters?)

The standard political answer: It depends.

But generally whenever I don't feel the rejection was necessarily warranted...otherwise I wouldn't have uploaded the shot in the first place...

Just a little sugguestion, can people stop giving "cop out" choices on the polls. Of course everyone only appeals rejections when they think they have a vaild reason, other wise they would not appeal them.

By having something else than just the percentage choices there is really nothing that can be gained from this poll.

Only if you want not as many people to vote.

Also, what you said about only appealing when you have a valid reason is not exactly true. Have a look at this thread:

Not that that person or anyone like him would still be on the forums to answer though, unless they're an RPL copycat who keeps coming back under different names. :-D

But the votes you gain from having a meaningless choice don't help you at all to gain a better grasp of the question you are asking.

What do the six (current) votes for "only when there is reason" tell you about how often people appeal rejections (the goal of this thread)? Nothing at all. They could fell "there is a reason" five percent of the time or 80 percent of the time, but you'll never know.

If anything its hurting the thread by giving people an "easy out."

No, what's hurting it is debating something like this that doesn't even affect you. I started the poll to see people's opinions, and also to see if some were honest about how often they appeal, regardless of whether or not it makes sense to. If you don't like it, don't view it.

As a point of simple logic, there is no way to tell from the poll how honest they are, because you don't know how many times they actually appeal!

Ladies, ladies, please! Lets get back on topic.

The only time I appeal is when I have to explain the intention of my photo a little better than the photo itself. Some of the more artsy shots I have I've had to do that. Other than that, I very rarely appeal.
