Some suggestions please

Shot rejected for bad color, i'm thinking it needs more saturation what's everyone elses opinion? http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...key=1246579970

Yep. More color, maybe a tad less exposure and I swear it needs a hair CW leveling.

Good shot Keane, I like it. Fix what Joe said and you'll have a winner.

MNJRR 07-22-2010 03:30 PM

Thanks, did as joe said and hopefully it gets accepted

Congrats Keane! I really like this angle. How did you get up in the air?
I need to know so I can do this shot too! :-)

Interesting location. Is there a dock or pier there or something?

JimThias 07-22-2010 07:35 PM

Nice shot, Keane. The elevation you shot from really makes a difference, too.

He's hanging from a block signal would be my guess :D

IS THERE some way to shoot from the other side of what looks like a little pond, which would give you a more "lateral" look? I would guess that the pond in the foreground and those nice hills in the background could result in something really nice.

Thanks everyone, i'm actually standing up on a rock cut that starts and follows the track south behind me. GIZMO, that "pond" you're referring to is actually the Hudson River and the land you see up ahead where the building is, that is accessible as that was where my car was parked i had to hike down. The site is known as Iona Island its a bird sactuary, the site itself is nothing too amazing but is accessible.
